The summer semester at the ITS has begun with an interesting new option in store. An audio-visual production club has been launched, designated for students interested in shooting and editing audio-visual materials.
The Video Club is open to second and third year students of any study program who seek knowledge and training in the field of audio-visual production. ITS provides the equipment, along with the professionals who will manage the activities and assist in the execution of the tasks.
Membership in this club provides the following benefits to the ITS students:
- experience in audio-visual production and postproduction;
- using the club’s equipment;
- additional experience through work on real projects;
- additional references for their portfolios;
- media exposure through promoting their success and results.
Video Club activities have already commenced, including camera operation training. This training was conducted by professor Marko Nikolić, who demonstrated all the essential settings and features of the video camera and the auxiliary equipment. The professor explained how to achieve proper exposition, how to set focus and aperture and how to connect the microphone and check the sound. In addition to the demonstration of work with a video-camera, the students were provided with a PDF handbook containing additional helpful advice for shooting.
In addition to another camera workshop, there is a series of lectures lined up on different basics of video-production (shot composition, lighting, focus, etc.). For those who are more keen on video editing, the club will provide specialized training for work in Adobe Premiere and After Effects.
After this training, the club members will be able to perform concrete tasks – they will be entrusted with shooting various events taking place at school and other locations; they will be able to edit their material, etc., obtaining valuable experience in this creative industry. Let us wish them a lot of success!
