Course objective

The objective of the Web Design course is to teach students about the basics and the history of the Web, as well as the different types of websites. In addition, the students will master the basics of the HTML language for creating websites and the basics of CSS. They will also gain an understanding of the structure of web pages and websites, website navigation, and will learn how to create a website for a particular purpose. Finally, the students will also master website development tools.

Course outcome

The students will master important aspects of HTML, types of HTML editors, the structure of HTML documents, the main tags, text formatting tags, types of HTML lists, list nesting methods, types of paths in HTML documents, types of links and anchors in HTM, formats of raster images that can be used on the Web, the application of tables in web pages for setting layouts, important CSS aspects, CSS syntax, methods for writing CSS rules, the Box model, flow, and methods for positioning elements on a web page. The students will gain practical knowledge on creating web pages using tables, creating web pages using the CSS layout, and creating HTML and CSS files for web pages.
