The Student Symposium held as part of the “Challenges of Contemporary Higher Education” (CCHE) conference for 2024 garnered significant attention from ITS and FCA students.
The event took place on February 2, both in the beautiful surroundings of Kopaonik and online, enabling the presentation of a wide range of research papers and discussions. Out of 19 submissions, nine belonged to students from ITS and FCA.
Below are brief descriptions of these papers:
ITS:
“Technological Challenges of Contemporary Higher Education” – Milica Vujović: The paper focuses on various technical challenges shaping the current and future state of higher education, emphasizing the need for integrating new technologies into educational processes.
“Christianity and Artificial Intelligence” – Bogdan Košutić: This research explores the ethical and philosophical questions arising from the interaction between Christianity and the development of artificial intelligence.
FCA:
“Understanding Space and Learning Processes in the New Media Society” – Aleksandra Svetlik: The paper investigates how new media shape space and learning processes, and how educational institutions can adapt to these changes.
“Positive Effects of Globalization on Education and Society” – Lenka Petrović: The paper examines how globalization can have a positive impact on education and social development, promoting intercultural understanding and collaboration.
“Challenges of studying the Past and shaping the Future: Museums and Higher Education facing Digital Challenges” – Marija Raičković: This paper considers how the digital era affects museums and higher education, particularly in the context of studying the past and shaping the future.
“Stereotypes in Education” – Nevena Trkulja: The presence and impact of stereotypes in the educational system are analyzed, along with how they can affect the learning process and student development.
“Globalization and Intercultural Education” – Sara Nikolić: The research focuses on the need to integrate intercultural education into curricula as a response to the challenges and opportunities brought by globalization.
“Maximizing Managerial Utility” – Nađa Božić and Stefan Aleksandar Knežev: These are two papers addressing key aspects of organizational leadership efficiency, emphasizing the importance of developing management skills in the modern business environment.
These papers sparked significant discussions among participants, providing insights into different perspectives and encouraging further research in many areas.
