We are proud to announce that our professor Šemsudin Plojović is one of the laureates of this year’s Novi Pazar Day celebration. The formal observance of the 561st birthday of the city was in the spirit of awarding individuals who have contributed to the city. Professor Šemsudin Plojović received an award for his enormous contribution to the development of entrepreneurship and innovative technologies in Novi Pazar.
Plojović is a full professor at the Information Technology School (ITS). He boasts nearly two decades of considerable teaching experience at higher education institutions in Serbia and abroad. He is focused on the following subjects: IT Systems Management, Applied Statistical Analysis, Manufacturing Process Management, Operations Management, Quality Management, and Project Management.
Apart from teaching, he also conducts research. He has authored three textbooks and more than 100 scientific papers. He is a member of the editorial board of numerous journals and Editor-in-Chief of the Socioeconomica journal. He regularly takes part in projects dedicated to applying the IT industry in the business operations of companies. He participates in projects focused on improving our functioning in communities, which is why he founded the Centre for the Application of New and Innovative Technology. He is also manager of the Regional Innovation Start-Up Centre in Novi Pazar.
This year’s recipients of the accolade of Novi Pazar also include the Regional Theatre, which was awarded for its contribution to the development of culture and for promoting the city, Enes Halilović, Irena Vujović, Budimi Đinović, Kasim Zoranić, and Ismeta Sajtarić.
