Course objective
The objective of the course English Language 2 is mastering a wide range of grammatical concepts of the English language. Successful comprehension of written articles in all areas. Enabling students for successful written and oral communication with a native speaker.
Course outcome
English Language 2 enables the student to apple a wide range of grammar rules and words in oral and written form. In conversation with a native speaker, the student will be able to formulate sentences whose complexity is characterised by the use of words that belong to professional vernacular.
The student will be able to recognize the implicit meaning of structures where not all individual words are necessarily familiar. The students will also be able to express themselves in written form using more complex structures and use the acquired knowledge within higher levels of English. Through attending these classes the students will master the following grammatical concepts and their practical use: Present Perfect Tense, Present Perfect Continuous Tense, Simple Past Tense, Past Continuous Tense, Past Perfect Tense, Past Perfect Continuous Tense, Question Formation, Question Tags, Adjective Placement, Adverbs, Past Modal Verbs,Reported Speech – Statements, Orders, Questions, Passive Infinitive, Passive Gerund, Passive Constructions With Say, Believe, Conditional Sentences (Type 1, Type 2, Type 3), Expressing Wishes and Regrets, Defining Relative Clauses, Non-defining Relative Clauses, Participle (-ing) Clauses, Clauses of Purpose.
