Course objective

The objective of the course Business English for IT experts is introducing the students to the terminology involved in modern business. The student is enabled for successful participation in business meetings conducted in English. The program also includes written business correspondence, as well as terminology from the realm of information technology, which will result in the student’s ability to use professional literature in English.

Course outcome

Business English enables the student to apply the terms describing modern modern business and IT business in oral in written form. The student will be able to structure various sorts of business letters, as well formulate sentences based on adequate vocabulary in order to convey business ideas. The students will also be able to use professional literature written in English.

The students will master the following units and their practical use: International English, Making Contacts, Making Calls, Business Travel,Selling Your Country, E-commerce, Making Decisions, E-mail, Presenting, Technological World, Solving Problems, Messaging, Negotiation, The Layout of a Business Letter, Memorandum, CV Writing, Complaints and Replies to Complaints, Enquiries and Replies to Enquiries, Orders and Replies to Orders.
