Comtrade ITS Campus Day, held on April 6 at Comtrade Campus, was the focal point for gathering future IT professionals, high school students, professors, and alumni of ITS, along with distinguished guests from the IT industry. This event provided high school students with a unique opportunity to learn about the study programs offered by Information Technology School – ITS, located within the Comtrade company, and to receive first-hand information about the world of information technology.
With a morning cocktail and a friendly atmosphere, participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences, meet professors, students, and ITS alumni, as well as connect with Comtrade IT engineers. The introductory lecture provided a detailed insight into ITS study programs and modern learning methods, emphasizing the importance of practical experience and acquiring knowledge directly from experts in the field.
During the presentation of study programs, participants were introduced to various educational paths offered by ITS, including innovative curricula tailored to current market trends. An interactive campus tour and introduction to Comtrade allowed participants to experience the inspiring environment and resources available to students up close.
Comtrade ITS Campus Day began with an introductory lecture by Ivan Anić and the presentation of ITS, setting the stage for creative discussions and reflections. Professor Aleksandar Simović then drew attention with a lecture on “Deep learning and neural networks”, deepening participants’ knowledge of this fascinating field. Professor Ivan Anić returned with a lecture on “Mathematics in a fun way”, further engaging participants through an interactive presentation. Nadica Žarkić, an alumni representative, and Simo Skoko, President of the Students’ Parliament, also contributed to the event with their presence and insights. Professor Pokorni further acquainted students with ITS, while Goran Radić provided a detailed insight into the Comtrade complex, rounding out the event.
In the closing ceremony, participants had the opportunity to gain insights into studies and employment opportunities in the IT sector through an informal conversation with Srećko Miodragović, special advisor to the president of Comtrade, Comtrade company IT engineers, and ITS alumni, learning more about ITS as a leader in IT education.
