On Thursday, December 7, 2023, students and employees of ITS, ITHS, and FCA, in collaboration with the association EUS Serbia and the company Comtrade, attended a highly significant lecture by Professor Glass titled “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Humanity”. This event, exclusively reserved for students and professors at our institutions, provided a deep insight into the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on various aspects of human life and society.
The lecture took place in Annex G, in the Amphitheater, from noon to 1.30 p.m., with communication conducted in English. Professor Glass from Alster University, on his first visit to Serbia, is a distinguished academic and researcher in the fields of artificial intelligence, theoretical and computational physics, and philosophy of science. He extensively discussed how advances in artificial intelligence technology shape our future, change the way we work and live, and influence our understanding of ourselves as human beings in an increasingly digital world.
His research, covering a wide range of topics including AI, machine learning, data analysis, AI ethics, Bayesian inference, and complex systems, was presented at this lecture, offering valuable insights into current and future trends in the field of artificial intelligence.
Due to limited seating, attendees had a unique opportunity to expand their knowledge and better understand how artificial intelligence shapes the future of the profession and society as a whole. Students and professors asked Professor Glass numerous questions regarding the application and prospects of artificial intelligence, to which he provided answers, fostering additional discussion.
This event undoubtedly represents an important step in educating and preparing the academic community for the challenges and opportunities brought about by the development of artificial intelligence.
