From October 19 to 21, 2023, the 8th International Academic Conference “Places and Technologies 2023” was held at the Faculty of Architecture, University of Belgrade. The conference brought together professors, researchers, and experts from the country and abroad: China, Poland, Norway, the United Kingdom, Hungary, Croatia, and Greece.
The aim of the conference was to present and publish new, contemporary, and high-quality research by identifying and establishing relationships between issues of technological development, environmental protection, and social changes. The conference program and research were based on understanding various disciplines, perspectives, and professions, providing a platform for dialogue.
Professor from ITS, Dr. Jovana Tošić, participated in the session “Architectural Technologies” and presented her work entitled “New Technologies in Architectural Heritage Presentation: Issues of Authenticity”. Within this presentation, she analyzed technological innovations and experimental projects in the practice of presenting architectural heritage. The aim of the work was to examine the implementation of audio-olfactory and visual installations that enable a multi-sensory, tactile, and haptic experience of the historical and social values of protected architectural objects, aiming to preserve their authenticity.
Immediately following the presentation, an interesting discussion among the session participants took place.
