The “Splet Tech” Conference made a grand return this year. The first Splet Tech, held in 2022, attracted as many as 2,000 attendees. For this reason, this year also continued with inspiring content.
One of the panels was on the topic: “Decentralized support – What does the innovation ecosystem outside Belgrade look like?”
Šemsudin Plojović, a professor at the Information Technology School – ITS, and a project manager at the NIT Center, spoke alongside Mirko Pešić, the director of the Science Technology Park Čačak, and Ana Hadžić, the project manager of the Impuls center from Gornji Milanovac, on a panel that provides insights into what the innovation ecosystem looks like outside the capital city, with a focus on the activities and contributions of the Science Technology Park and regional innovation startup centers in western and southwestern Serbia.
Discussions were held on the most important areas of innovation in these regions, exploring based on the specificities and focus of each center’s activities, and discussions were also held on ways to support innovators, startups, and entrepreneurs to develop their ideas and businesses, presenting service packages and beneficiaries.
The panel also addressed connecting regional innovation ecosystems with national and international partners for the transfer of knowledge and experience.
The conversation provided insight into the landscape of innovations developing in Serbia and will inspire new generations of entrepreneurs and innovators to explore the opportunities provided by these regional hubs.
