Professor Dr. Šemsudin Plojović was one of the participants and lecturers at the summer startup camp for youth. This camp takes place at the Science Technology Park in Čačak.
During the camp, participants had the opportunity to gain basic knowledge in the field of technological entrepreneurship. Namely, they were tasked with solving challenges in the areas of green economy and energy, gaming, digital technologies, and areas related to food, agriculture, and technologies.
ITS Professor Dr. Šemsudin Plojović emphasized that it is most important for young people to reflect on challenges and learn to think as a team to collectively arrive at solutions that will facilitate business.
Overcoming obstacles in sports through the application of technology
In his presentation, the professor highlighted what is crucial for addressing shortcomings in the field of sports, as well as for the organization of events related to this area.
“My part of the challenge concerns sports and technology. This is an area that is particularly interesting today, especially in Serbia as we prepare for EXPO 2027, where some of the key elements will be sports and gaming. The challenges are such that we need to try to solve what we notice is lacking in the field of sports, primarily in the organization of amateur sports, sports for children and youth, professional sports, and sports for people with special needs, but also in everything that connects sports and health”, the professor emphasized, adding “that the goal is to motivate the participants of the ‘Kampino’ camp to think about what they can do with the appropriate application of technology to make someone’s life easier, improve results, facilitate the organization of a sports event, or a team preparing for a specific sports event.”
What is needed for success in entrepreneurship
Professor Plojović also answered the question of what it takes for someone to be a successful entrepreneur.
“One of the basic things is that they want to do it and that, no matter how many obstacles they encounter, they continue to pursue it. Our goal is to further motivate them and to explain to them that the path is complicated, difficult, and demanding, but that it is full of challenges, satisfaction with what you have achieved, personal happiness, and business success when you find a way to help people solve and overcome problems.”
We wish our professor much success in his future work.
