Conference of Academies and Colleges in Serbia, in agreement with prof. Dr Ana Šijački, director of the National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education, organized the meeting on the premises of ITS. The topic of the meeting was preparation for the upcoming accreditation. The meeting was attended by representatives of academies of applied studies, principles of colleges of vocational studies, assistant presidents/directors of teaching and learning, secretaries and persons responsible for accreditation.
On Friday, December 2, ITS had the great honor of hosting the meeting of the Conference of Academies and Colleges in Serbia (KASSS) and the National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education (NAT). The meeting was attended by about one hundred top representatives of Academies and Colleges of Applied Studies from all over Serbia. Prominent representatives of the National Entity for Accreditation, prof. Dr Ana Šijački – director, MSc Ana Marjanović, and Janko Balšić – secretary, provided the participants with a broad platform for support in understanding the process of accreditation of study programs and institutions and invited representatives of academies and colleges to contact them in order to make the accreditation process as successful as possible. Dr Branko Savić, president of KASSS (Conference of Academies and Colleges of Applied Studies), presented the directions of future activities of KASSS in terms of improving the status of academies and colleges, as well as the status of teachers and associates. After the introductory lecture on the most common mistakes and pointing out the importance of self-evaluation in the accreditation process, the representatives of the National Entity for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education answered the questions of the attendees. According to the participants, the meeting was very successful.
